knitted speakers

A series of self-contained, battery powered and mobile amplifier systems were crafted in woollen balls. These 'yarnbombed' speakers were made to challenge acousmatic traditions and used within workshops and performances. Following the Dirty Electronics Cardboard Box Amp schematic, circuits were assembled within handmade MDF boxes and hand knitted or crochet covers were filled with recycled polyester stuffing, to make round and soft speaker balls.
